Since tourism is a very important industry in Mexico, the government often has plans to boost the number of national and international leisure travellers that choose this country as their vacation destination.
The Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, which is an attraction in itself, was part of some plans implemented by the government to make it a more tourist friendly spot so people from all over the world can enjoy eco tourism in Michoacan State, Mexico.
This country works very hard to take care of the environment and everything that is related to it including the famous Monarch butterflies which are like an ecological symbol.
You can admire diverse butterflies while driving along highways in Michoacan and it must be said that the monarch’s habitat has been taken cared for many years. According to experts, the monarch butterfly doesn’t appear on an endangered species list.
The butterflies start their 3,400-mile journey each September. They go from the forest of eastern Canada and some parts of the US to Central Mexican Mountains, but they return in March.
Mexico buttleflies’ home has become an attraction for tourists from all over the world and the government does everything possible to protect it and boost tourism.
