This 13th edition, with artists from Chile, Argentina, Spain and Mexico, is held to publicize the importance of protecting the environment and endangered species. Besides the concerts and freeing turtles and iguanas, the Music for the Earth Environmental Award will be given to Dr. Valeria Souza, of Mexico s National Autonomous University s Ecology Institute, for her work to preserve Cuatrocienegas lakes in Coahuila State.
