The first racially mixed colonos used this metodo primitive of construction along with marinates of mud dried to the sun. Originally it was applied single to the inhabitants of the Valley of Mexicali, although it is spoken of a tradition that applies it to the inhabitants of Santa Rosalía in South Baja California. Author Antonio Valdéz Herrera world-wide immortalized the gentilicio in his run "Pure Cachanilla" interpreted by Caín Corpus in years 60.
